   I was looking to order business cards and my shop logo designed for a long time. I mentioned that to my friend one day while talking to her on the phone and she offered to do that for me! The fact is I didn't have a clue she could do anything like that! That was a nice surprise!

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child - Pack Your Shoe Box!

(Send your love and gift-filled shoe boxes to poor children worldwide)

How to get started:

1. Get an empty shoe box (you can order one with Operation Christmas Child logo here or use your own);

2. Determine who the gift will be for - a girl or a boy, and the child's age category. Download appropriate label from their website, print it out and tape it to your gift box;

3. Fill with gifts (go to this page for ideas, donation and drop off information);

4. Track your box online.

   I just started filling up my box with gifts, I didn't decide who it's going to be for yet. I'm also going to crochet something for the kid to wear. I still have a few days to finish (National Collection Week - November 14-21)! I know that whoever gets it will be one very happy child!)

Christmas Spirit

   Halloween didn't feel like Halloween at all this year with all these snow storms in New York... and power loss for 4 days... It was so freezing in the house that all I wanted to do the whole day was sit next to the fire-place curled up in a warm blanket and read books (which happened to be Christmas stories)). 

   Schools were closed, work was cancelled... it was just enough family time for me to realize that Christmas is coming VERY soon! So I started working on a new project - Christmas blanket:   

When it's finished, I will post a picture of it on my Facebook page for all of you to see.
